Ricinoleic acid

Ricinoleic acid is a special unsaturated fatty acid found in large quantities in castor oil. In cosmetics, castor oil acid is a popular ingredient in skin and hair care products. It has moisturising and conditioning properties. Due to its chemical structure, ricinoleic oil acid can also be used to produce various chemical compounds. For example, it is used in the production of polyurethanes, lubricants, plasticisers and other industrial products.
