Azelaic acid

Azelaic acid is an organic, saturated dicarboxylic acid from renewable raw material. Azelaic acid occurs naturally in wheat, barley and rye. Applications include use as a precursor to polymers and plasticisers, as a thickener in lubricants and as an ingredient in a range of hair and skin care products.
