Dodecanedioic acid

Dodecanedioic acid is a long-chain dicarboxylic acid, which is also available as a bio-based product. DDDA is mainly used to produce high-quality polyesters and polyamides. Due to its good chemical and thermal properties, polyamide 612 produced from dodecanedioic acid can be used as a substitute for metals in vehicle construction, for example, in order to reduce weight. This versatile product is also used in other plastics such as polyurethane.
