Monopropylene glycol (MPG)
Monopropylene glycol, also known as propane-1,2-diol or MPG, is a clear, odourless, colourless liquid with a low viscosity. It belongs to the family of glycols and is used as a solvent, anti-freeze and coolant. Furthermore, the MPG serves as a raw material for polyester resins for the automotive industry and shipbuilding. MATSEN CHEMIE AG also supplies MPG as a bio-based product in road tankers.
