Potassium water glass

Potassium water glass, also known as potassium silicate, is an aqueous solution of potassium and silicon compounds. Potassium water glass is used in the construction and building materials industry as a binder in mineral paints and plasters, in the impregnation of masonry, in the production of fireproof coatings, as an adhesive in the paper and cardboard industry or as a binder in the production of abrasives and ceramics, in corrosion protection and much more. Potassium water glass is preferably used in areas where resistance, stability and gentle chemical reactions are important, such as in the preservation of historical monuments, in the production of mineral paints and in corrosion protection.
